"Rice For Suture" masterpiece from researchers of Chiang Mai University, Thailand

Today knocking on campus door will bring you to research team from Chiang Mai University, Thailand has just successfully invented "Rice For Suture" which is bandage fiber for suture concentrated from kind of absorbing paddy starch in its natural way.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sittiporn Punyanit leads research project under-named: "Absorbable Suture Made From Rice Starch" from the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Biomaterial and Medical Device Research Unit, revealed that research team has discovered "Rice For Suture" which is a single fiber to better improve the mechanical properties of the paddy starch polymer film by mixed substance wizard includes Gelatin Carboxymethylcellulose and nanometer sized carbon powder. The research team has also developed a vibration mill grinding method to produce nano-carbon powder from coconut shell. Therefore, once nano-carbon is made to the big volume with low price and high purity of the test wiry drag.

Demonstration clearly added that nano-carbon powder can help improve efficient, durability water and wiry to paddy starch polymer film which found out that suture fiber from paddy starch 1 mm diameter can lift a bottle containing more 400 grams weight. Furthermore the black powder of nano-carbon helps surgeon observes and identifies easily when suture fiber mixes with the blood within the tissues during surgery operation as well.
